Cross Browser Testing Tools

Cross browser preview test

Which web designer never wandered how his latest sleek theme design would look in Konqueror 3.3 or Safari 1.3? There are a bunch of services out there that let you see your web design, check javascripts, DHTML and other dynamic functionalities on any platform, browser and operating system.

Here's a list:

  • IE NetRenderer: Internet Explorer 5+. Free. Works great (checked live on IE myself first)!
  • BrowsrCamp: All Mac Os X browsers. Free Safari screenshot (works fine). Paid subscription for all Mac browsers.
  • BrowserCam: Remote Access paid service for cross platform testing.
  • Browsershots: Almost all Linux, Windows, Mac Os X, Gecko browsers. Free. Not sure it's reliable.
  • iCapture: Free Mac Os X Safari 2.0.4 screen capture. Does not work actually..
  • ie Capture: Free Windows Internet Explorer screen capture. Same author as iCapture above. Does not work actually too..

Did i omit something worth to be in this list? Please do let me know! Also, i don't think the results of Browsershots.org are totally right, and iCapture / ieCapture seems not to work at the moment...can anyone confirm?
